It is a disorder characterized by talking during sleep. WHEN DOES IT OCCUR?? Well, the sources say, the lighter the sleep "the more intelligible is the speech". Traditionally it has been accepted that the speech is associated with DREAMS. Somniloquy isn't a major problem until and unless it is not associated with sleep apnea. HOW MANY TIMES IT OCCURS?? The frequency with which Somniloquy occurs varies from single ultimate shout to multiple times. In most of the cases, the person he/she are unaware of the whole scene until the fellow sleepers come into action and intervene. TIPS TO CONTROL.! As said earlier this is not a huge disorder or something unless it is accompanied by chronic sleep apnea. Generally discussing, we can treat Somniloquy by simple tips. 1. Allow the person to rest wholly before sleep. 2. The person should be free of tension, anxiety or work pressure (Very common with software professionals now a days) 3. Low intake of meals unlike stuffing loads into tummy ( The tradition continues in India) 4. When the speech frequency is intensified, never allow the frustration to hit the person. This may severely affect the psychological state of the person.
