Quality of pharmacy education to be raised to make graduates take up careers in industry: Dr K P R Chowdhari

http://www.pharmabiz.com/NewsDetails.aspx?aid=91528&sid=1

At last the issue has come out in public though me and my comments on the same line were being brushed aside since 1980s.. Thanks to Dr KPR Choudhuryjee. I wish he had gone a step further, that in every field the diploma and graduares comming out of the acadme are novice.

They have to learn every thing when they get opportunity to drive like non professionals.

Even in learning, they are not proactive and lack application of mind.

They have to be tutored and the worst is beliw average in communication wrt to language. Fluency, stright hit talks and short and narrative communication , written and verbal.

I again eeiterate that:

1.A panel of Field professionals should give the course content.

2. Pharma faculty should only organize, schedule and deliver.

3. Field experts should be on tbe exam panel at least for practicals

4 All guide books should be banned from the campus.

5 Curriculum updation should happen every year, particularly in Industrial sector.

Hope the PCI. AICT and the Universities and Academe management realize and wakeup to the reality .
