Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Hologic, Inc. is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium diagnostics, medical imaging systems and surgical products dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of women. Summary of duties and responsibilities include: Engineer will be trained to provide technical support via telephone and/or E-Mail to field service engineers, dealers, and biomedical engineers with emphasis on customer satisfaction and increasing product uptime and reliability. Continued training will be provided that further strengthens the engineers skills in providing technical support to field engineers, dealers, and biomedical engineers to ensure system performance in accordance with MQSA regulations, and ISO standards while promoting customer satisfaction. Engineer will maintain a professional appearance and hygiene that meet the expectations and standards customary to a professional engineering position. Corporate dress code shall be followed at all times. Dress code in the office is business casual with one dress down day on Fridays or the last working day of the week, when working in the field, field dress requires business professional; shirt tie, slacks, unless otherwise specified. Engineer will learn to document all technical reports, calls, complaints, and responses via the Oracle service module, training and development in the use of e-mail correspondence and it’s handling to ensure departmental and customer satisfaction goals and objectives are maintained. Engineer will learn to provide on-site instruction and text book training to dealers, customer and engineers on the installation, calibrations, and repair of Hologic mammography products as required. May be required to assist in providing technical support to imaging shows (set up and dismantling) to ensure high visibility of Hologic medical products. Engineer will Interface with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and quality as required. Engineer will be trained and will be accountable for written trip reports regarding field issues and provide details on closure on any/all issues following established processes and procedures (i.e.: use of. Product Service Reports, Engineering Change Notices, Trunk Stock Control, and ISO training) in a timely manner. As the engineers training and development progress, he/she will be required to support on a rotating schedule, department On-call responsibilities in accordance with department schedules and procedures. Engineer will be required to work as necessary to meet assigned goals/tasks and/or organizational requirements that ensure customer satisfaction and personal development. Engineer will be introduced and trained in the use of the Quality Policy, ISO standards and Quality System procedures and guidelines. Qualifications Engineer shall be trained on performing the in house technical support function, i.e. telephone and/or E-mail procedures and practices as well as on site technical support to field service engineers, dealers, and biomedical engineers with an emphasis on increasing customer satisfaction and increased product uptime/reliability. Education Minimum two year technical school, or Associates degree or equivalent in electronics or electrical engineering is required. Experience Minimum experience shall be 3 to 6 months in an internship or apprenticeship role in the electronics field Specialized Knowledge Additional Details The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
