Job Summary: This position is accountable for leading and managing a diverse, high performing Hospital sales team to achieve sales goals; providing input to sales management for strategic business and promotional plans and executing according to national plan for current and future products. This position is also responsible for identifying, developing and retaining high performing sales professionals for future leadership roles within Daiichi Sankyo. Responsibilities: Achieve monthly, quarterly and total annual sales objectives. Recruit, hire, train, retain, develop and lead diverse, high performing Hospital Sales Representatives to their full potential. Set and maintain competent product knowledge and selling skills standards within the team; coach Hospital Sales Representatives utilizing the Core Behavior Model. Plan and conduct effective sales meetings, launching any Company issued programs and promotions; direct and monitor the execution of approved marketing plans and promotional campaigns. Conduct field travel with each Hospital Sales Representative on a consistent basis, calling on key customers. Maintain timely communication with Hospital Sales Representatives, management and internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance of company policies and expectations. Maintain all expected performance management documents in accordance with DSI standards. Develop and execute Business Plans to achieve District, Regional, Area, and National goals. Analyzes sales reports and develops plans of action. Effectively manage District's budgets. Maintain complete records and submit reports as directed by management. Qualifications Education/Experience Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years successful pharmaceutical sales experience. Hospital or Specialty selling experience is a plus. Sales Management experience preferred; however, internal Home Office function (i.e. Sales Training, Marketing, and Market Research) or equivalent sales experience will be considered. Must be willing to travel 50-70% of the time. Additional Skills Required Proven success in areas of leadership, teamwork, and selling skills.
