Description Position Purpose: Develops and manages Global Health Economics strategies and projects that support key business objectives. Develops implements and oversees the health economics and outcomes initiatives to support CSL Behring products across their lifecycle. Reporting Relationships:  Role that this position reports to Senior Director, Health Economics Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1 Develops health economics strategies and plans to influence and support CSL Behring product strategy. 2 Works with Regional Commercial Operations, Global Business Teams and Finance to define pricing approaches. 3 Designs and implements health economics projects from inception to completion. Is responsible for producing (or using a vendor) to produce Study Concept Documents, Protocols, Analysis Plans, Final Study Reports and publication. 4 Review and critique medical and evidence-based outcomes literature. Provide summary information and talking points for commercial operations based on expert analysis and interpretation. 5 Manages researchers and health economics vendors external to the company. 6 Work with Public Affairs on health economics aspects of reimbursement and health policy strategies and tools to optimize the impact of government policies on company success. 6 Key strategist in developing approaches to influence insurance/payors decisions on product, payments and usage. 7 Provides input into clinical development plans to ensure pharmaeconomic and quality of life opportunities are fully utilized. 8 Work with the Global Business Teams to ensure product health economic opportunities are utilized during the product lifecycle. 9 Builds relationships with Key Researchers and Opinion Leaders and keeps abreast of the developments in the global health outcomes field. 10 Manages global health economic budgets Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or Economics with advanced degree in Health Economics or equivalent. Experience • At least 5+ years of experience in Health economics in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Competencies • Have experience working on global projects and possess an international perspective. • Successful candidate will be knowledgeable in health economics/health services research methods and been primary researcher on these projects. • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. • Oversight experience in both internal and external projects is necessary. • Experience in clinical and practical clinical trial protocol development, a good understanding of study designs that produce clinically and economically relevant value information in both a development and post-launch time period. • An understanding of the public and private payer environment and the requirements for health economics and value information is necessary. • Knowledge and understanding of key marketplace factors, critical business issues and drivers are key requirements. • Demonstrated work experience on multi-disciplinary value teams. • Demonstrated ability to develop long-range plans and future business strategies. • Excellent written and oral communication skills required. • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary groups. • Team based management experience or supervisory role in managing multiple projects.
