Here’s how this role will help: Provide testing on finished product, raw materials, equipment surfaces, air, potable water, and purified water. Provide scientific evaluation and testing in support of all manufacturing processes at MPI and relevant subsidiaries. Conduct microbiological testing in support of product validation and method development. Perform peer reviews of documentation from microbiological assistants and other microbiologists. Ensure tasks are completed on time, order supplies, answer question on procedures, equipment, or results, troubleshoot problems, and assist in data analysis Provide input into scheduling weekly testing Train new microbiologists and assistants Perform analytical investigations. Activities include drafting Analytical Investigation Reports (AIR) text, peer and sampler interviews, performing action steps, drawing justifiable conclusions based on data. Prepare microbiological media, maintain laboratory culture collection and perform routine laboratory maintenance Perform and review maintenance and performance checks of microbiology equipment Review and process data. Interpret test results and ensure that they meet specification, enter data into the computer, maintain instrument logbooks, laboratory worksheets and all relevant documentation according to cGMP documentation practices, review all information and compile information into report form. Here are the minimum qualifications for this position: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required along with relevant Microbiology experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Must possess knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Mylan Laboratory Procedures, USP regulations, Microbiological Testing Procedures, cGMP, and OSHA regulations/procedures for disposal of biological waste and procedures for the safe handling of chemicals and biological materials Must possess strong analytical skills, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills, interpersonal, communication, and team skills Must possess excellent communication, writing, reading, comprehension, organizational and computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes Must be accurate, detailed oriented, possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high output environment Why Mylan?
