Description Responsible for the leadership, performance and daily operation of the contracted services required to support the proper operation of the Los Angeles plant. Under the general direction of the Sr. Manager of Manufacturing and Facility Maintenance, lead, identify, plan and direct the security, cafeteria, pest control and site janitorial services for the operation and maintenance of the L.A. Plant facility site to include upkeep of buildings and grounds of 11 acre multi-building site to include landscaping, common areas janitorial, wetted fire protection, site security services, cafeteria operation, and pest control services. Negotiate and establish Master Service Agreements, Scopes of Work and contracts in support of the general site service requirements and facilities management. Coordinate, interact and control performance of contracted services. Determine, bid, schedule and supervise assigned outsourced Facilities upkeep services for both year round operations and during the Plant Shutdown. Maintain close contact with Finance and with PSM. Ensure that operations are maintained within budget and within appropriate service levels. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds of 11 acre multi-building site to include landscaping, common areas janitorial, wetted fire protection and cGMP pest control services. Provide management over site of L.A. Security team. Ensure proper training and adherence to site security policies and procedures. Provide management over site of cafeteria services, equipment and offerings to ensure quality for Los Angeles plant patrons. Ensure contracts and contracted services are in compliance with approved L.A. policies and procedures. Define SLA’s and ensure adherence from contractors. Maintain, modify or update site policies and procedures to meet internal and external regulations. Qualifications Need to have a broad understanding of how a site operates. Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with difficult situations through logical thought and experience. Experienced in resource and budget management. Ability to make sound decisions and manage priorities in alignment with site drivers. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills • Must demonstrate effectiveness in task completion, decision-making, empowerment of others and training, problem solving and team management. Education and/or Experience: Minimum BS, in engineering. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in operations, engineering or maintenance. Prior experience in management or project management a plus. Prior experience interacting with internal and external regulatory agencies a plus. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility. Working Environment: Will work mostly in office environment with occasional requirements to work manufacturing and support areas. 5% travel.
