B&I drives good design to generate the data needed for quality decision making. The goal of B&I is to deliver value to the pipeline by excellence in delivery, improving decision making, and engaging and shaping the external environment whilst accessing and implementing innovative solutions. The Alliance & Operations Office is the area within B&I that oversees the Alliance Management for A&R deliverables as well as drives the operations of the B&I department with regards to continuity in process, policy and performance. This includes budget, resource, change management and continuous improvement. Candidate Focus & Challenge -- Global role that provides strategic input, and scientific, statistical and programming leadership expertise, to the delivery models. With the Alliance Lead, set up and support the strategic B&I goals for all delivery models. Leads continuous improvement of the analysis and reporting delivery components of drug development. Global accountability for driving Biometric & Information Sciences (B&I) components of the quality, processes and standards to meet the strategic aims and annual objectives for the delivery models while working in conjunction with the appropriate Process and Standards roles on the DM/A&R Interface organization and within B&I Expert point of contact within his/her skills area Focus on the scientific and technical skills and capabilities, both internally and externally, to ensure the strategic partnership is a success Serve as point of contact for issue escalation and will be key in identifying solutions. Define general principles for quality and quantity of the A&R service deliverables in alignment with the project requirements including but not limited to standardization across delivery models. Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience -- A minimum of Bachelor's degree in at least one of the domains for which they will manage in the alliances Experience in the pharmaceutical industry working with clinical information and clinical development processes at various phases of development Comprehensive understanding of analysis and reporting activities including regulatory standards, industry-based standards and tools and processes to support the alliances Experience in working successfully with external partners Require regular contact with persons of influence and in decision-making positions within the partner organizations and AZ on a global basis. Requires a high level of cultural sensitivity and proactive communications expertise, and will need to display considerable tact, discretion and persuasion to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining ongoing professional relationships.
