Answer:
Skilled Occupation Lists will be based on the labour market needs in Australia. They can take only the people their labour market needs. Before feb 2010 Pharmacy used to be in skilled occupation list. Due to migration of large number of pharmacists from asian countries, they no longer need any more overseas pharmacists. How ever there are other options for pharmacy graduates; Chemist and Pathologist are still in demand list. You can apply for Permanant residence if you have been working in a pathology center for 2 years and can clear the exams conducted by AIMS (www.aims.org.au), these exams are not really hard if you are good at basics. Note : labour market needs keeps on changing according to australian needs, so this SOL is not permanant. If they need pharmacists in future they will change the list.
