Frequently used loop diuretics like Ethacrynic acid can cause dose related ototoxicity as a side effect.This happens mostly when these drugs are used in conjunction with aminoglycoside antibiotics. Reference:Lippincotts Illustrated Reviews:Pharmacology, 3rd edition, page-269
