Answer: 

The word azeotrope in Greek means 'Boil unchanged'.

Azoetropic mixture is a mixture of two or more liquid samples whose composition remains constant in both liquid and vapor state i.e it's composition does not undergo any change when subjected to simple fractionation/distillation.

Azeotropic mixtures has 2 or more liquids These liquids cannot be separated by simple distillation. This happens because when the liquid is boiled, the resulting vapor composition will be similar to the original liquid composition. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azeotrope

Azeotropic mixture is broken by adition of 3rd substance are increasing relative volatility.example ethylalcohol and water forms azeotropcmixtures
